💜 A Tribute to My Mother, Vivian Vaughan
This season brought a deep and unexpected sorrow with the passing of my dear mother, Vivian Vaughan, at 87. Her faith was a fortress, her love a lighthouse, and her legacy… well, it deserves a novel all its own.
Every day she continues to guide me — in quiet ways, in loud ways, in ways that feel like warm hands on my shoulders. She loved her children, grandchildren, great‑grandchildren, and great‑great‑grandchildren with a devotion that could move mountains. Her story lives on in all of us, and I carry her with me into every chapter I write.
🖋️ Creative Updates & What’s Brewing
With this loss, my releases have slowed — but the magic hasn’t stopped. My incredible co‑author Aaron Holliday has been picking up my slack and forging ahead on Labyrinth of Natas II. His dedication is a gift, and the next installment is shaping into something powerful.
🎃 Halloween in Central City
I will be in Central City for Halloween — the exact location remains a secret for now (because what’s magic without a little mystery?).
However, I’m sad to say I won’t be at the Tommyknocker at the Teller House this year. It’s a beloved tradition, but one I simply cannot accommodate during this season of healing.
